- License Renewal Periods
All electrical contractor licenses in North Carolina are valid for one year and must be renewed annually.
- Continuing Education Requirements
Limited (L), Intermediate (I), and Unlimited (U) Licensees:
Complete 8 hours of continuing education (CE) each year.
At least 4 of these hours must be completed in a live, instructor-led setting, which can be either in-person or virtual.Special Restricted (SP) Licensees:
Complete 4 hours of CE each year.
At least 2 of these hours must be in a live, instructor-led setting.
